The Nike Kobe A.D. is one of the best-looking sneakers of the year, despite how it performs, and this Midnight Navy color scheme adds yet another great colorway to an already impressive collection.Using a navy mesh upper with white hits throughout the midsole and outsole, this colorway keeps things simple. The end result is one clean looking colorway that would be a solid off-court option, since our performance review on the Kobe A.D. was not favorable.These are rumored to release on February 23 for $160. Adidas Harden Vol 1 />Despite being a bust on-court, the Nike Kobe A.D. continues to impress aesthetically with great color applications and blocking.This White/Chrome version of the shoe is just as clean as the Black/White. It even shares the red heel branding that gives the shoe a completed look.Foot Locker and Eastbay have this colorway listed to release on January 7 for those that may be interested.
The Nike Kobe AD burst onto the scene late last year with a brand new naming system to differentiate Kobe Bryant’s playing days from his new retirement phase of his career, but the shoe still continues to champion the sleek simplicity that the Black Mamba’s signature silhouettes have been known for ever since teaming up with designer extraordinaire Eric Avar. The goal with the model was to bring the ‘Mamba Mentality’ to everyone, and by combining a lightweight engineered mesh upper, Zoom Air, and natural motion tendencies with a head-turning heel support system, Nike Basketball did just that. The latest colorway is the flashiest yet, as the Kobe AD University Red will drop this Friday, January 20th for $160 USD.This is the first Kobe AD colorway that we’ve really seen break up the team-centric monochromatic option, as University Red combines with a Black lining to allow for the Total Crimson Swoosh to truly stand out. Are you ready for the next colorway of the Nike PG 1? You won’t have to wait much longer since the Nike PG 1 Glacier Grey is set to make its debut in exactly two weeks. We got our first look at the shoe back in March, but ever since then it’s been pretty quiet, until now.Above you will find the latest images of the Nike PG 1 Glacier Grey. This new PG 1 flavor comes with a tonal Grey uppers constructed out of suede and mesh. The Grey is paired up with hits of Midnight Navy placed on areas such as the Swoosh and PG (tongue) branding and outsole. Adding a nice bold pop to the shoe is the Red placed on the PG logo on the outsole and well as on the forefoot Zoom bag. Are you feeling this new colorway of the Nike PG 1? What you see above are the official images (and first look) of the Nike PG 1 Pure Platinum. Although this is the first time we’ve seen this new colorway of the PG 1, the shoe is actually set to release next week! Let’s see what this new colorway is all about.The Nike PG 1 Pure Platinum comes dressed in a Pure Platinum upper constructed out of mesh and a synthetic textured nubuck fish scale design very similar to the material we see on the “2K” colorway. Additional features on the shoe include the speckling on the midsole, the Gum rubber outsole and the University Gold accents on the insole and outsole. Materials – The main difference between the Kyrie 2 and 3 comes from the materials — and I really love the materials. Mesh is the primary feature at the toe and midfoot to heel. Meanwhile the flex zone at the forefoot is a foam reinforced with Flywire. This setup is far greater than the one we received in the Kyrie 2 — fuse shell with mesh glued on top of it — and it actually made the tooling setup a bit more enjoyable on-court. Everything was able to flex and move properly instead of having the materials and tooling work against each other.Materials can be very hit or miss depending on player preference, but they’re an essential part of a shoe’s build. The materials are the shoe’s build. Without it you’re merely wearing sandals.While mesh is the main material, Nike added fuse to high-wear areas for extra strength and durability. Along the entire rear section of the upper we have a rubber — Kurim — overlay that acts as a three dimensional design along with a layer of protection against abrasions. Again, I love this setup and feel it aids in the minimalist tooling they have built upon for this particular model.

In less than one month we’re expected to seethe debut of the Nike KD 10, Kevin Durant’s 10th signature shoe with the Swoosh.As we grow closer to the release date we continue to get better and better looks of the sneaker. Seen above, the KD 10 has a White Flyknit upper with Pure Platinum detailing on the suede cage overlay on the ankle and the tongue tag. Chrome accents then appear on the Swoosh and KD logo. Other details include a new lacing system that extends from one side of the shoe to the other and a full-length Zoom Air unit. Who plans on picking up a pair on June 5th? Retail price will be $150.
