Двадцать седьмого ноября жители Италии устроили оригинальный праздник, посвященный защите и спасению черных кошек. Эта дата впервые была установлена в 2007 году в стране при активном участии Ассоциации по защите окружающей среды.
Некоторые народы, населяющие земной шар, олицетворяют черных кошек с темными силами, и считают, что эти милые создания обладают некой магической силой и являются причинами многих несчастий их владельцев. Каждый год в Италии от действий таких верующих граждан страдает больше тысячи черных котов и кошечек. Узнав о такой печальной статистики, работники организации, борющейся за защиту окружающей среды, решили спасти четвероногих. Защитники семейства кошачьих разработали собственную программы по спасению животных: они захотели не просто оказывать помощь животным, но и поощрять тех людей, кто возьмет на воспитание к себе черного кота или кошечку.
В этот день будут открыты выставки, на которых можно будут посмотреть работы, посвященные этим животным. А в Милане и Риме пройдут пикники и парады, на которых владельцы пройдут вместе со своими питомцами.
Как же получилось, что черным кошкам посвящается целый день?
Именно черный цвет стал для кошек решающим. Но, увы, это не очень веселый праздник. Как известно, с черными кошками связано много легенд. Во времена инквизиции им приписывали связь с нечистой силой. Кошка, если она рождалась черной, подвергалась немедленному уничтожению. Повсеместно было распространено заблуждение, что прожившая на свете 7 лет кошка превращается в ведьму, а черный кот становится дьяволом. Суеверные люди при этом использовали хвост черной кошки от болезней глаз, кость черного кота пускали в ход в качестве амулета. Так что черные кошки страдали не только от святых отцов инквизиции. Славяне не далеко ушли от своих европейских собратьев. Они тоже верили, что косточка кошек сможет защитить от сглаза, а заживо закопанный кот способствует хорошему урожаю. Средневековье давно миновало, а суеверия, связанные с черными кошками остались живы. Немцы до сих пор внимательно следят, чтобы у алтаря случайно не оказалась черная кошка, иначе молодожены будут ругаться. Американцы неохотно принимают черных найденышей в приют. Если пятница вдруг выпала на 13 число, то все черные кошки в Америке ходят с колокольчиками.
Россияне тоже достаточно суеверны, вспомнить хотя бы, что большинство из нас боятся идти вперед, если дорогу перебежала черная кошка.
